Cooling, cleaning and process use require different controls
08 / WATER REUSE
Water Reuse System
Advanced treatment upgrades process wastewater or compliant effluent for cooling, cleaning and process make-up reuse.

Stable upstream treatment protects downstream membranes
Recovery includes backwash, sludge and concentrate streams
PROCESS ROUTE
Typical Process Route
This is a typical configuration logic, not a fixed equipment list. The final design depends on feed analysis, target requirements, capacity and site constraints.
- 01
Source Segregation
Keep concentrated or inhibitory streams separate
- 02
Equalization & Pretreatment
Buffer flow and contaminant variation
- 03
Biological/Physicochemical
Remove organics and specific pollutants
- 04
UF + RO Polishing
Control turbidity, salts and trace contaminants
- 05
Disinfection & Reuse
Store, distribute and monitor reclaimed water

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Technical Notes & FAQ
Clear principles, prerequisites and operating limits help determine whether a process is suitable before quotation.
Can compliant effluent feed RO directly?
Usually not on that statement alone. Solids, colloids, organics, hardness, silica, oxidants and biological activity must be controlled within membrane limits.
Which reclaimed-water standard matters?
Start from the use point, then define conductivity, hardness, chloride, COD, turbidity, microorganisms and other relevant limits.
How should recovery be calculated?
Use the entire process water balance, including backwash, concentrate, sludge moisture and cleaning drains, not only the RO skid recovery.
Why do reuse systems fluctuate?
Production shifts, chemical changes and cleaning discharges create variability. Segregation, equalization, online monitoring and emergency diversion protect the process.
